Bradley Lane Housing Options

We have drawn up two design options - A and B - to show possible mixes of housing, layouts and features that might be provided at Bradley Lane.

Option A

Option A includes:

75 extra care homes arranged around a shared courtyard, with communal spaces
3 later living cottages and supported living homes
16 supported living homes for people who need extra support
35 general needs homes for people of all ages
A green corridor through the site and along the River Lemon, making it easier to walk, wheel and cycle from Bradley Lane to the town centre, local parks and nearby woodland
Outdoor spaces for people of all ages, including play areas, places to relax and shared spaces for residents and the wider community
Better links to nature and water, including restoring the historic leat and improving access to the River Lemon
Suitable parking spaces for new homes
Flood protection work along the River Lemon and moving the existing utility services where needed

Mix of homes

Family homes with children playing games in the communal gardens.

It’s proposed to have a mix of apartments and houses for older people, and young people and families. Many of these would be affordable homes to rent or for shared ownership, but there could also be some homes for sale.
